Dr. Gennaro D. LaBella, M.D., is an attending surgeon at Bethesda North Hospital and a long-standing faculty member of the TriHealth General Surgery Residency Program. He completed his General Surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, followed by a Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship at the Carle Foundation Hospital/University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois.

Dr. LaBella’s academic and clinical interests encompass colon and rectal cancer, perineal proctology surgery, sacral nerve stimulation for fecal incontinence, inflammatory bowel disease, and surgical endoscopy. He is trained in advanced minimally invasive approaches, including robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and has engaged in international collaboration and teaching with surgical colleagues in the United States, Italy, and Armenia.

He has authored several peer-reviewed publications, contributed to book chapters, and delivered numerous presentations at regional, national, and international meetings. Dr. LaBella’s commitment to surgical education is well recognized; he has received multiple teaching awards and has been consistently named a “Top Doctor” in Cincinnati for almost two decades.

Dr. LaBella is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. In addition to his surgical practice, he applies his passion for engineering to medical innovation, designing medical devices and founding several technology and healthcare companies. He also serves as a board member and Training Program Executive at Meduni NGO.

Vaughn Martirosyan is an Armenian-American entrepreneur and executive with more than 20 years of experience spanning healthcare, business development, government contracting, and nonprofit leadership. He is recognized for founding and leading mission-driven ventures that combine innovation, strategy, and measurable impact across multiple industries.

Vaughn began his career in healthcare, studying oncology at Yerevan State Medical University before continuing his education in the United States at Montgomery College and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where he majored in Biological Sciences. He gained early experience working in hospitals and private practices, developing a strong foundation in practice management, business development, and patient care.

In 2012, Vaughn co-founded BlueInGreen Wellness, a successful medical spa and wellness center in Bethesda, MD, which continues to be recognized as a leading provider of personalized health and aesthetic services. Building on this success, he launched Meduni UMSI in 2016, a nonprofit organization focused on oncology, preventative care, and humanitarian health initiatives in the U.S. and Armenia. Under his leadership, Meduni has raised over $1.5 million in funding, launched 30+ healthcare initiatives, and collaborated with physicians, hospitals, and government agencies.

As Chief Operating Officer of Blue Castle Consulting, Vaughn leads business strategy, operations, and government contracting initiatives for a certified woman-owned firm specializing in financial services, IT, healthcare consulting, and digital solutions. His work includes developing competitive RFP/RFQ submissions, implementing performance metrics, and driving growth strategies for federal, state, and local clients.

Vaughn also serves as Senior Vice President of LaBella Health, where he led the development and commercialization of the LHC Power Bander, a next-generation medical device for hemorrhoid treatment. His role encompassed FDA 510(k) regulatory preparation, quality management system implementation, supply chain negotiations, and competitive market positioning.

Vaughn’s leadership and impact have been acknowledged by Congressman Jamie Raskin, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, and Dr. Louis A. Damiano, President of Holy Cross Hospital.
